Weldy welding machines

The Leister group value line: a wedge welder rated from 0.8 mm, two hand extruders and a 700 degree hot air gun. Supplied alongside our own IZ range from stock in Dubai.

Weldy is the brand the Leister Group builds for buyers who want Swiss designed welding equipment without the full Leister price. We carry four machines from the range, chosen because each does something our own IZ machines do not, or does it for a buyer who needs a European name on the plant.

The WGW 300 welds HDPE from 0.8 mm, which the IZ-900 cannot. The booster EX3 is an extruder Weldy built specifically for geomembrane. The booster EX2 is its compact stablemate for tanks, pools and fabrication. And the HT1600 is a 700 degree hot air gun with a ceramic element that runs all day.

Frequently asked questions

Who makes Weldy?

Weldy is a brand of the Leister Group, the Swiss manufacturer of plastic welding equipment. Weldy tools are designed as the value line beneath Leister's own range: the same engineering house, built to a lower price point for markets and buyers who do not need the full Leister specification. That is why the WGW 300 carries a note restricting sales to markets outside the EU and EFTA.

Are you an authorised Weldy dealer?

We supply Weldy machines as a stockist and dealer. We do not claim authorised distributor status for the brand, and we would tell you plainly if that changed. What we do hold is the machines themselves, in Dubai, with the consumables and nozzles that go with them, and the ability to ship them configured for your destination.

Why carry both Weldy and your own IZ machines?

Because buyers want different things. A contractor on a brand-specified project, or one who wants a Leister group name on the machine, chooses Weldy. A contractor buying on price for the same work chooses the IZ range and gets a capable machine for less. And the WGW 300 welds 0.8 mm liner, which the IZ-900 cannot, so for thin liner work it is the only wedge welder we offer.

Can Weldy machines ship with an IZ machine?

Yes, and mixed orders are common. A crew might take a WGW 300 for thin liner alongside an IZ-620 extruder to keep the budget down, or an IZ-900 with a Weldy HT1600 because the gun gets more use. Everything ships from the same warehouse on one consignment with one set of documents. See export and shipping.

What consumables do Weldy machines need?

Welding rod for the extruders in 3 or 4 mm, nozzles for the HT1600, and welding shoes for the booster range, of which Weldy list thirteen. Carbon brushes and heating elements are the wear parts on all of them, and both extruder kits ship with a spare of each. We stock rod and parts in Dubai.
