Geomembrane welding machines in Ghana
Wedge welders, extruders, hot air guns and seam test equipment shipped from Dubai to Ghana via Tema, typically 16 to 24 days in transit.
Ghanaian buyers typically order machine, rod and test equipment as one package, because mining specifications require all three and none of it can be sourced locally.
We ship from our Dubai stock through Tema, with typical transit of 16 to 24 days by sea or air before customs clearance. Mining contractors here usually buy machine, rod and test kit as one package.
Lining work in Ghana
Gold mining is the principal driver, with leach pad and tailings work calling for heavy gauge liner under formal quality assurance. Aquaculture on the Volta and water treatment lagoons account for most of the remainder, in considerably thinner sheet. Tema handles almost all of it.
That mix decides the liner thickness you will weld most often, and thickness drives the machine parameters more than any other variable. Starting figures by gauge are in our welding settings guide.
What to plan for in Ghana
The mix of heavy mining work and thin aquaculture sheet in the same market is worth planning for. A machine specified only for 2.00 mm mining liner is awkward on 0.75 mm pond sheet and vice versa, so if you work across both, check the stated thickness range covers the full span rather than the middle of it.

What to order
All three welding processes, not one. The wedge welder for production seams, the hand extruder for patches and penetrations, and the hot air gun for tacking. Alongside them, rod matched to your liner, the test kit your specification names, and a spares kit.
Before deciding how many machines to send, run the project through the seam length calculator. It converts the lined area into machine hours, which is what actually determines whether one welder covers the programme. Where geomembrane sheet is going too, everything consolidates into one consignment.
The full equipment list sits on our geomembrane welding equipment page.
